Who needs a compact lift?
- 1
A villa with limited floor-to-floor space
Some villas have no dedicated shaft, and a compact lift takes the stairwell or an unused corner without touching the rest of the home's layout.
- 2
A family member who uses a wheelchair
The cabin can be sized to allow a wheelchair to enter and turn inside it, and the right dimensions are set after a precise survey of the space.
- 3
An existing home being retrofitted with a lift
Fitting a lift into a built home means working within what exists without knocking down walls or redesigning, which is exactly what a compact lift is built for.
Choose what fits your need
Building a villa with only a tight corner free
We design the lift around the available space during construction so no structural changes are needed later.

What sets this area apart
Luxury villas and homes in Umm Al Hamam Al Gharbi are typically designed with open, spacious layouts and may lack a dedicated lift room despite multiple storeys. The compact lift suits these homes because it needs no separate shaft and preserves the home's interior design. Many villa owners here prefer comfort and easy movement between floors, especially with elderly relatives or young children in the household.
Umm Al Hamam Al Gharbi is an upmarket district in West Riyadh featuring spacious villas and modern residential blocks with green spaces and wide streets.
Most luxury villas in this district have three or more storeys without dedicated lift space, making compact units the fitting choice.

Questions about Compact lifts
Can a compact lift fit a wheelchair?
It depends on the dimensions available at your site. Some locations allow a cabin big enough for a wheelchair to enter and turn, others allow straight-in access without turning. The site survey is what determines exactly what is possible.
Do I need a pit dug beneath the lift?
Many compact lift installations need a shallow pit, but some configurations work without a full pit. What suits your home is determined after the site survey and assessment of the floor structure and number of levels.
Can it be fitted in a home that was not designed for a lift?
Yes, and this is the most common use for compact lifts. We study the existing structure and find the best location with the least alteration to the building, and every site is different from the next.
Where does Lift Barq operate?
We cover every district of Riyadh and also Al Muzahimiyah, Al Kharj, Ar Rayn and Huraymila. If you are in any of these areas, contact us and we will book a site visit at the earliest available time.
Can the cabin and doors be customised to match the home's interior?
Yes, there are options for cabin finish, interior wall colours and door design. What is available depends on the dimensions confirmed during the site survey, after which the technician presents the choices that suit your specific space.
Does a compact lift spoil the home's interior design?
No, the compact lift integrates into an existing corner or stairwell in harmony with your design, with no separate room or demolition needed. Our team conceals the unit to match your home's décor.
Is installation quick and unobtrusive to residents?
Yes, installation is quicker than a full-size lift, and our team coordinates with the household to minimise disruption.
