When do you need an accessibility lift?
- 1
An entrance that relies on steps alone
Any commercial, institutional or residential building entered by steps excludes wheelchair users, and a platform lift at the entrance solves this within a limited footprint.
- 2
Internal floors an existing lift cannot reach
Some buildings have a main lift that does not serve a particular floor or a separate wing, and adding a dedicated lifting unit is the right solution after a site assessment.
- 3
Retrofitting an existing building for accessibility
Existing buildings do not always have a pit or machine room, but there are lifting solutions that do not require a deep pit or major infrastructure, and the right option is confirmed by the technician's visit.
Choose what fits your need

Need accessible movement inside your home
We design a lifting unit that fits your home's dimensions and allows independent movement between floors, confirmed after a careful site survey.

What sets this area apart
Ar Rayn's relatively modern districts contain villas and residential blocks with varying entrances and floor levels, and many property owners face the challenge of providing safe, accessible entry for family members with limited mobility. The space between the facade and main door differs from site to site, so the right lift or platform solution depends entirely on your site's measurements. Lift Barq visits first, measures the gaps and slopes, and recommends the most suitable access equipment for your setting and budget.
Ash Shuara in Ar Rayn, south of Riyadh, is a modern residential district mixing villas and mid-rise apartment blocks.
Villas in Ash Shuara commonly have entrance levels above ground, making platform lifts a common solution in this area.

Questions about Accessibility lifts
What is the difference between an accessibility lift and a platform lift?
A vertical lift resembles a conventional elevator with an enclosed cabin and suits greater heights, while a platform lift is open or semi-open and suits limited level changes such as entrance steps. The survey determines which type fits the site.
Can an accessibility lift be installed in an existing building with no pit?
In many cases yes, there are lifting units that do not require a deep pit and suit existing buildings, but the precise answer depends on the floor structure and the site conditions, which the Lift Barq technician confirms during the survey visit.
What dimensions are needed for a wheelchair to enter comfortably?
The required dimensions vary with the wheelchair type, how it turns inside the cabin, and the site specifics. This is why we do not quote a fixed number before the survey, and the technician's visit is what ensures the right dimensions for your exact location.
Do you provide maintenance after installation?
Yes, Lift Barq provides scheduled maintenance for all units it installs. The team reminds the client of each visit in advance and issues a written report afterwards so the unit stays in good condition at all times.
Can a lifting unit be installed at an uncovered outdoor entrance?
Some lifting units can be installed at outdoor entrances, but exposure to weather affects the choice of specification and materials. The technician examines the entrance and its exposure level to confirm the most suitable unit and any additional protection required.
How do you choose the right lift type for our villa?
We visit your site, measure the space between facade and entrance, and note the height difference, then propose the lift or platform that fits your dimensions and use. Options vary based on available space and budget.
Do you cover all of Ar Rayn and Ash Shuara?
Yes, our service covers Ar Rayn and surrounding areas. We visit your site, assess the situation, and provide the best solution for safe family access.
